The National Oil Corporation continues to declare the force majeure on oil production from Al-Feel oil field, Mellitah Oil & Gas Company reported Sunday.

Through its Facebook page, the company explained that the field could not be operated despite intensive mediation efforts led by elders in neighbouring towns.

Al-Feel oil field has been closed for twenty five consecutive days by the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) of Fezzan.

The command of PFG in Tripoli announced earlier that it had reached an agreement on reopening the field and resuming the export of oil within days, but this has not occurred to date.
