Agoco seeks solutions to technical issues, project delays at Nafoura field.

The Chairman of the Management Committee at the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (Agoco)/ board member of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mohamed Bin Shtwan, chaired a meeting to discuss technical problems at the Nafoura field and the resumption of work on stalled projects.

According to Agoco, the talks focused on the maintenance of gas compressors, hydrogen sulfide gas treatment, water disposal, spare parts provision, and well connections for increased production. The meeting also addressed desalting projects for preserving crude oil quality.

On the sidelines of the meeting, officials toured the 22-megawatt power station project, set to commence initial operations by the end of April, along with the central pumping station, desalting units, and gas compressor station.
