The annual meeting of Acacus Oil Operations Company for the year 2019 was held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli, headed by NOC Chairman.
During the meeting, the company’s activity and its various departments were reviewed for the year 2019, in addition to a discussion of the security plan in Sharara field, health, safety and environmental programs; the proper progress of operations, reservoir engineering programs, development drilling and maintenance of wells, and projects related to communications and information technology were reviewed. The company also reviewed its proposed budget for 2020, in addition to the various projects that it intends to undertake to raise production rates and increase oil reserves.
NOC6 Chairman and members of the Board of Directors praised the exceptional efforts made by the employees of Akakos Oil Operations Company to increase the company’s performance and contribute to the advancement of the national economy, despite all the difficult circumstances and challenges faced from capturing employees to closing Sharara field, and closing the main valves.
They also expressed their appreciation for the achievements made by the company during the year 2019, which include completion of reservoir studies, maintenance of about 55 oil wells with the aim to resume production and start implementation of solar energy projects and digital transformation, and development of block MN (186), and structures (B – H), (J – K) and (I – Y), in addition to maintaining the main tanks in Zawia oil port.
NOC Chairman stressed the need to maintain the safety of workers, and NOC’s employees and also recommended the need to complete the data system, provide owners with reports, and take into account the points mentioned in the report of the monitoring body, and pointed out the necessity of improving the logistics and food safety, providing recreational clubs for all workers in the production sites of the company, hoping that the year 2020 be the beginning of the relief of crises in all the country.
Chairman of Acacus Oil Operations Management Committee thanked and appreciated NOC Chairman and members of the Board of Directors for their continuous support to the company and its employees, reviewing the security difficulties faced at the headquarters in Tripoli and the company’s operations area in Sharara field, which affected production operations. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the assistance provided by Arab Gulf Oil Company to Acacus in overcoming some practical challenges.
