A new crude oil tanker joined the fleet of the General National Shipping Company on Friday within the second phase of the company’s fleet development and modernization plan.
The construction of “Anwar Tripoli” tanker was completed in March 2022 by Daehan Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. in South Korea
The company said in a statement that the new tanker was designed according to the highest quality standards and requirements applicable in the navigation market.
It’s the fourth tanker to join the company’s fleet within two years.
In February 2021, two new crude tankers, Fezzan and Anwar Benghazi, joined the fleet of the company.
