A Delegation From The Maltese Civil Aviation Visited Amitiqa International Airport

The Assistant Head of the Airports Authority of the Ministry of Transport of the Government of National Accord, Engineer Mohamed Fasatawi, held a meeting Saturday with a delegation of the Maltese Civil Aviation Authority, during which the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two departments were discussed.

     During the meeting, which was attended by the Director of Amitiqa International Airport in charge, Abdel Moneim Al-Qamoudi, and some directors of departments and offices in the authority and the airport, and from security authorities working at the airport, the operational procedures and security measures taken at the airport when leaving and receiving flights were clarified and the extent of compliance with the application of international standards recommended by the international organization Civil Aviation.

Then the Maltese delegation toured the airport facilities in the framework of coordination to resume flights between the State of Libya and the Republic of Malta.

The Maltese delegation also briefed a component of the Director of Civil Aviation Security and his assistant on the audit procedures at Amitiqa airport to resume Maltese air flights between the two countries.
