A 24 Passenger Toyota Coaster bus delivered to the Faculty of Energy Technologies in Jekherra, at the Al-Wahat region.

On Sarurday 22nd May 2021, a Toyota Coaster bus of 24 passengers capacity, model of 2020, was delivered to the Faculty of Energy Technologies in Jekherra to assist in the transportation of students within the region and to oilfields during the performance of training programs.
The handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdul-Malik Issa, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Technologies in Jekherra, Mr. Ayman Ahmad, member of the Municipal Council of Jekherra, Mr. Suleiman Mersal, on behalf of Wintershall, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Jehani and Mr. Haitham Al-Manqoush from the Sustainable Development Department of NOC, as well as a number of the faculty employees.
This contribution is made pursuant to the Sustainable Development Agreement signed between NOC and the German company Wintershall in December 2019. Following are the programs and projects that have been implemented under the above mentioned agreement with Wintershall as well as the projects under implementation:
Launching the phone Contact, Response and Guidance Center in the Al-Wahat area, for the purpose of answering inquiries and providing guidance for infected or potential cases during the Corona pandemic, and establishing an information system. A team from the region was trained to perform the required work at the center .
Launching a campaign to spread awareness on the Coronavirus within the Al-Wahat area, duringwhich brochures and posters were distributed to various regions.
– Delivery of a PCR device for the Coronavirus detection tests with the operators to the Disease Control Center branch at Al- Wahat area.
-Completion of the maintenance of the health center at Shuhadaa al-Kuze and the provision and installation of medical equipment and the X-Ray machine and provide the deficiencies (pending).
– Establishing a sewing workshop (84 machines and of various purposes) in Jalo municipality, including the training and support of women’s activities to improve their income (pending).
– Equipping the main lectures hall at the Faculty of Energy Technologies with a capacity of 475 seats, as well as the provision and installation of furniture, seats, administrative offices, furniture, a display system, air conditioning, a monitoring system, electronic board for lectures and other requirements (pending).
– Equipping the new laboratories building (of two floors) at the College of Engineering and Petroleum in Jalo, which was established by the National Oil Corporation. The project includes providing various laboratories for various disciplines taught within the college for the purpose of raising the level of educational outputs and strengthening them to compete in the labor market (pending).
