The Chairman of the Steering Council of the Municipality of Benghazi, Saqr Bu Jwari, discussed, along with the Ambassador of Malta to Libya, Charles Saliba, ways of strengthening of economic coordination between both countries.
The talks, which were held at the municipality’s headquarters, touched on procedures related to the opening of the Maltese consulate in Benghazi and paving of the way towards ideal conditions for the return of various Maltese companies to work in the city of Benghazi.
Bu Jwari and Saliba agreed on coordination with the Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry in Benghazi to meet with various Maltese businessmen, along with discussing further issues such as cooperation in the health, education, and culture fields, and also of reconstruction in the country.
