Venezuelan embassy due to reopen in Tripoli.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, during her participation at the United Nations General Assembly, held a meeting with the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Felix Gonzalez, on joint relations between Libya and Venezuela and methods to strengthen them.

Al-Manqoush and Gonzalez reviewed methods to activate the joint agreements between both countries, stressing the relevance of relations with Venezuela as the first Latin American country to establish diplomatic relations with Libya.

For his part, Gonzalez reiterated his country’s support for stability and peace in the country, adding that Venezuela intends to reopen its embassy in Tripoli, whilst calling for the reopening of the Libyan embassy in Caracas.
