Libya needs $200 billion for reconstruction projects, says Minister of Economy Mohammed al-Hawij, indicating that this figure comes according to studies carried out by the World Bank and local institutions.

In an interview with the Al-Hurra TV, al-Hawij revealed that Libya has tended to hold meetings with entrepreneurs from several countries, including Egypt, Italy, Turkey, Tunisia, Algeria, and France, noting that old contracts signed with these countries would be a priority.

He pointed to a partnership with the United States in the oil and gas sector, as Libya aims to boost its crude production to three million barrels per day in the coming years.

Al-Hawij said that his government is working to lay a foundation for the coming authorities, without focusing on the fact that it is an interim government that will leave office by the end of this year after conducting the elections scheduled for December 24.
