Libya’s State Minister for Economic Affairs, Salama Al-Ghwail, said that contracts had been signed with Egyptian companies to implement electricity projects, estimated at a value of between one and a half to two billion dollars.
In a statement to Egyptian media, Al-Ghwail estimated that the Egyptian companies should win between 60 to 70% of the reconstruction projects in Libya.
He also indicated that the cost of work necessary to rebuild Libya is estimated at approximately $111 billion and is due to be implemented over the coming decade, however, the plan remains stalled until the budget is approved and the political consensus is achieved between all parties.
