Minister of Oil welcomes reopening of Maltese embassy in Libya.

The Minister of Oil and Gas, of the Government National Unity (GNU), Mohamed Aoun, welcomed the return of official activities at the Maltese embassy in Libya, along with its expected capacity in strengthening economic and political relations between the two countries.

During his meeting with Malta’s Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, on Sunday, Aoun praised the embassy’s efforts to reopen the visa section for the convenience of students, medical treatments and businessmen, as an initial step forward in joint cooperation with the GNU.

For his part, Saliba reaffirmed his country’s eagerness to increase joint cooperation in several fields, particularly in that of oil and gas.
