The Undersecretary for International Cooperation and Organisations Affairs at the Foreign Ministry Omar Kiti chaired a meeting in Tripoli yesterday, to discuss ways and mechanisms of lifting the ban on Libyan airports.
Sources of the Ministry of Transport said the meeting focused on lifting EU ban on Libyan civilian aviation by some European carriers and ways of making Libyan airports capable of receiving international aviation companies including security and logistical support at the airports.
The meeting was attended by Ministry of Transport Undersecretary for Air Transport Affairs, the Director of Foreign Ministry Cooperation Department and officials and experts of the Civil Aviation Authority.
