Korean delegation visits Tripoli to prepare for return of Korean companies to Libya

A delegation from the Korean government visited the site at the West Tripoli Steam Power Plant project to discern the assessment work carried out by technical teams of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL).

The GECOL explained that this visit came in order to assess the working conditions at the plant, in preparation for receiving approval of the Korean companies to return to their undertaking in Libya with some urgency.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the status of the project and the stable conditions achieved in the region and the country in general, according to the GEOCL.

Also stressed, was the necessity for the Korean companies to return and urgently resume their work in order to complete this project, which should support the Libyan electricity network with a total capacity of 1,400 megawatts, according to the company.
