The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) participated in Libya Energy Renaissance Forum in Istanbul, Turkey, which was organized by Schlumberger.
NOC Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah, said on the sidelines of the Forum that Schlumberger had been a very important partner in the oil industry, pointing out Schlumberger’s efforts in implementing the latest technology to improve and resume production from long-term shut in wells, as well as in the establishment of a training center in Benghazi to develop manpower skills.
The NOC also said that Sanallah met after the Froum – on Thursday – with the German ambassador to Libya, Oliver Owcza, who is wrapping up his tenure in this post, adding that Sanallah hailed the prominent role the ambassador had played in his term as ambassador to enhance cooperation between the NOC and its affiliated companies as well as the German energy firms.
Sanallah also reaffirmed that the NOC was hoping for improving cooperation with German energy companies to help contribute to the development of the Libyan oil and gas sector.
