The Government of National Unity (GNU), decided to allocate in excess of 90 million dinars to the Ministry of Transport for the maintenance of airplanes of both Libyan Airlines and Afriqiyah Airways companies.

The decision, which was issued on Monday, stipulated that this amount would be deducted from Chapter Five of the budget, allocated originally for emergency expenditures.

It is worthy of note that the state’s general budget has not been approved as yet by the House of Representatives (HoR), although it has been referred to it for the second time now, having been amended, however, sources close to the HoR say it is likely that the revised budget will also be rejected.
