The Algerian Ambassador to Libya, Kamal Hejazy, accompanied by the embassy’s economic advisor, conducted Tuesday a visit to the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Tripoli, where he was received by the chamber’s top officials, including Mohamed Qadah and Atheer Al-Jazwi.
The two sides exchanged views on ways to activate economic relations between Algeria and Libya, according to the chamber’s media office.
The Algerian ambassador put forward a proposal to hold an Algerian-Libyan forum for businessmen in the “Wats” bordering area with Libya, indicating that it is an important agricultural region “suitable for establishing highly feasible projects” in agricultural investment and productivity.
The meeting also discussed initiatives to stimulate the participation of businessmen from both sides in joint exhibits and conferences.
