Chairman of the National Oil Corporation receives UNDP representative in Libya.

On Monday Morning, March 8, 2021, at the headquarter of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), the chairman of the Board Of Directors Mr. Mustafa Sanalla has received the UNDP Representative Gerardo Noto, Ms. Reem Bejawi from the UNDP Office, with presence of the Dean of Nalut Municipality, Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Hajjam, Mr. Mokhtar Abdel-Adam, Manager of of Sustainable Development, and Mr. Mustafa Juma, Manager of litigation Department at the NOC.
During the meeting, the cooperation between NOC, its foreign partners and UNDP were discussed with and a repeat of the successful experience between UNDP, and Repsol Total, OMV, Aquinor, through which several successful programs were implemented, including Obari, a number of western mountain municipalities and several other regions.
the NOC, through its partner Repsol Coalition, is the largest funder for the UN programme in Libya during 2017, interventions included health, water, renewable energies and the maintenance of educational facilities.
Mr.Sanalla also praised the efforts of the United Nations Development Programme in Libya, wishing them success and continuity to support its stability through the programs implemented in various regions, and stressed the need to intensify communication with the Sustainable Development Department at NOC, to coordinate in this humanitarian aspect supporting the stability of the Libyan state.
