Inspection visit to Ras Lanuf industrial complex.

On Thursday, March 4, 2021, Engineer Mustafa Sanalla, Chairman of the Board of Directors, made an inspection visit to Ras Lanuf’s industrial complex where he was accompanied by member of the NOC Board of Directors for petroleum industries Mr.Jadalla Alwokly, Mr. Khaled Jweili, General Manager of petroleum industries, and Mr.Khaled Abu Khatwa, General Manager of the Health, Safety and Environment Department.
The Chairman of the Board was welcomed by the boards of directors of Ras Lanuf Oil & Gas Processing Company and Sirte Oil Company and a number of managers and general managers at those companies.
The first stop in their visit was at the water and sewage treatment unit, which had been completely overhauled by Libyan employees and has been returned to service in an excellent condition further to NOC’s and the company’s keenness to implement international environmental standards in their areas of operations. Engineer Mustafa Sanalla and the accompanying delegation also inspected all its facilities and what has been maintained, praising the exceptional efforts made by the company’s employees to implement this project.
After this, the delegation attended a celebration for the opening ofthe dining hall of the company’sworkers at the township, which had been overhauled in an excellent manner by one of the national companies so as to provide the best services to the workers in a healthy environment.
During the celebration, Mr. Sanalla was honored for receiving the anticorruption award by the U.S. Department of State and for his exceptional efforts in leading the oil sector with high professionalism and prudent management.
The delegation then headed to lay the foundation for a project to implement two desalination units at the Ras Lanuf industrial complex. The delegation also visited the facilities and units at the ethylene plant and reviewed the work in preparation for resumption of operationsandlistened to explanations from the engineers, and specialized technicians.
In this regard, Engineer Sanalla stated: “On behalf of myself and the members of the Board of Directors, I present our deepest gratitude to the chairman and members of the board of directors and all the employees of Ras Lanuf Oil & Gas Processing Company for achieving these milestones. Notwithstanding the difficult conditions and challenges and the limited funds, the loyal workers in the oil sector have proven their patriotism andtheir love to Libya in the efforts and sacrifices they have made to preserve the wealth of the Libyan people and support the national economy.”
The delegation also visited a project to build painting workshop which is being implemented by the company in collaboration with a national company.
At the end of the visit, Mr. Mustafa Sanalla , Chairman of the Board, along with Mr.Jadallah Al Okeley, member of the Board of Directors for planning and industry, Mr.Khaled Jweili, General Manager of petroleum industries, and Mr. Khaled Abu Khatwa, Manager of the Health, Safety and Environment Department held a meeting with the chairman and members of the board of Sirte Oil Company Massoud Suliman, Mustafa Hamad, Khalid Jabali, Mohamed Fantry, and Faize El Naas. During this meeting, they discussed the company’s general activities and production as well as maintenance plans, and the challenges that the company is facing and the solutions to overcome them.
