Libya has hit record levels in oil and gas sales during the last months, surpassing 1.4 billion dollars, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) confirmed Friday.

“The revenues have been deposited into the NOC’s account at the Libyan Foreign Bank, in line with the temporary arrangements currently in place,” the company said.

The NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla said that this achievement was the result of the NOC’s companies and employees’ efforts over the past months who worked hard to increase production rates despite the lack of budgets for maintenance and operation.
