Oasis (Waha) Oil Company Production To Be Reduced By 200,000 Barrels Per Day Due To Maintenance Work.

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced that the Oasis (Waha) Oil Company, to start Sunday, the necessary maintenance operations for the main crude oil pumping line connecting the Al Samah and Dahra oil fields, and from there to the port of Sidra.

It said the pipeline has become in a situation that it cannot continue its operation, due to the large number of leaks and its wear and tear, because of the lack of budgets that ensure the safety of the assets of the institution.

NOC website reported that maintenance teams have been prepared to carry out this work on a continuous basis, in order to reduce the suspension period, It is expected that the work will continue for two weeks.

The National Oil Corporation is keen to coordinate with the operator, that is the Oasis ( Waha) Oil Company, to reduce the maintenance time to just 7 to 10 days, in reference to the maintenance teams and their technical capacity to fast-track the maintenance process.
