NOC Chairman discusses return of Italian firms to Libya

Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanalla met on Tuesday with the Italian Ambassador to Libya Giuseppe Buccino to discuss horizontal cooperation with Italian companies.

The meeting which took place at the NOC’s HQ considered the potential contribution of Italian companies to implement maintenance programs and projects targeted in the NOC’s 2021 plan.

The officials also discussed the obstacles to the return of the Italian oil and energy companies to work and invest in Libya.

The Italian ambassador congratulated the NOC’s head and all workers in the oil sector on the resumption of oil production and the significant output levels achieved despite the under-funding experienced recently.
