The Chairman of the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanallah has said they are aiming to reach 1.2 million oil barrels per day (bpd) in 2021, adding that this aim is part of the NOC plan for the new year.

Sanallah added on Friday that the NOC plan included development of many projects, increasing Sirte firm’s oil production to 120.000 bpd and carrying out maintenance work at Arabian Gulf Oil, Mellitah Oil and Gas, and Zlaf Companies.

Sanallah said debts in the oil sector reached 48 billion Libyan dinars, despite the government’s approval of the budget, which was blocked by “the Central Bank of Libya that is still protracting the distribution of that budget.”
