The Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company announced that the company’s Istiqlal field workers were able to restart the second production unit in the field plant, which had been idle since 2017.
The company added that during the stoppage of the unit, an overhaul was carried out for the unit, which included replacing the damaged carbon material, renewing and maintaining Al Amin pumps and returning them to service through pure national efforts.
Sirte confirmed that operating the second unit would allow for the maintenance and treatment of some problems in the first production unit, which had been operating without interruption during that period.
The Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company indicated that with the concerted efforts of the production and maintenance groups, all difficulties were overcome and production re-established for the unit.
The company explained that the gas plant in the Istiklal field consists of two production units, in each of which the water and condensate are separated and natural gas is treated.
