Turkish construction group makes a bid to develop Misrata International Airport

The Libyan Airports Authority held a meeting with Turkey’s Albayrak Group on a project to draw up a general plan for Misrata International Airport.

Albayrak made a proposal, which includes the development of the airport with a total ground space of 610 hectares.

The group showed previews of the main elements of the project, including the passenger terminal, aircraft stands, cargo hangars and aircraft maintenance centers, as well as fuel supply stations.

It also displayed methods of providing the best services, both on land and in flight, to comply with the expected future growth of passenger and freight services in the foreseeable future.
