The head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah, announced that the production of Libyan crude oil has risen to 800,000 barrels per day (bpd), pointing out that Libya’s aim was to reach 1.3 million bpd at the start of 2021, leading to 1.6 million bpd by the close of the year.

Sanallah was quoted by Bloomberg news on Saturday as saying that the NOC expected the country to pump one million barrels per day by next month, adding that the company’s ambition was to reach 1.6 million by the end of 2021, depending on the resources allocated by the Ministry of Finance to the company.
