On Monday, October 12, 2020, the technical meeting of Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Manufacturing Company was held at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation (Al-Sarir Hall) in the capital, Tripoli, and via closed-circuit linking from the company’s headquarters, Ras Lanuf, in the presence of the Director General of Industries at the National Oil Corporation, Mr. Khaled Gueili, and Members of the board of directors of Ras Lanuf Company are the gentlemen, Ahmed Suleiman, Abdul-Razzaq Zariba, Muhammad Awad, and Faraj Al-Farajani.
During the meeting, the general activity of the company, the financial and technical aspects, and the precautionary measures that have been taken to confront and combat the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) were discussed, in accordance with the instructions issued by the National Oil Corporation to all its companies since the beginning of the epidemic.
The readiness of the company’s factories to restart them was discussed. After carrying out the required maintenance operations, providing the necessary spare parts, and carrying out the safety protocols to be taken, in addition to the ongoing equipment in the industrial complex.
The attendees also discussed carry-over and ongoing capital projects proposed for the year 2021.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director General of the Corporation’s industries, Mr. Khaled Gueili, thanked and praised the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, and all the employees of the company, for their efforts in implementing some of the projects on their own and with Libyan hands and restarting operations.
The meeting was attended by directors of departments, engineers and technicians at the National Oil Corporation and Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Manufacturing Company.
