Philippines ambassador visits Sirte Oil to check on Filipino workers’ status and discuss arrival of more workers.

The Ambassador of Philippines, Elmer G. Cato, visited Sirte Oil Company in Brega, eastern Libya last week where he discussed with conditions of the Filipino workers at the company.

During the visit the ambassador discussed securing the return of Filipino workers and their travel to their country on vacation, ensuring their return and the necessary approvals from the Philippine government, and bringing in new workers needed by Sirte Oil Company.

That ambassador noted that the Filipino community is the largest in the companies operating in Libya, with over 250 workers distributed in the company’s various sites in the Brega fields.
