An oil tanker stands by to ship around 750 thousand barrels of crude oil from the Sidra port, after an eight-month hiatus, due to the illegal closure imposed by Haftar’s militias last January.

The Waha oil company in charge of the port has already begun sterilization operations at its technical and administrative HQ.

A statement by the Brega and Zuetina ports quoted an official at the National Oil Corporation yesterday, as saying that the Zueitina oil port is preparing to export 1.63 million barrels of crude oil via two oil tankers which will enter the port respectively to load the first shipment since lifting the force majeure on the port September 22.
