The Minister of Transport of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Milad Matouq held discussions with the Maltese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Evarist Bartolo and the Ambassador of Malta to Libya, Charles Saliba, on a number of aviation issues, including a resumption of commercial flights between both countries.

The two sides also discussed aspects of cooperation between both countries on the matter of air navigation, training of Libyan personnel in all fields of civil aviation and the facilitating of amiable visa procedures.

A delegation from the Maltese Civil Aviation visited Mitiga International Airport earlier this week to inspect the airport’s readiness to receive international arrival flights.
