The Ministry of Finance announced that it has forwarded to the Department of Banking Operations at the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) permission for payment of salaries for the month of April to all institutions funded by the public treasury.
According to a statement by the ministry on Sunday, this step would be followed by the procedures implemented by the CBL.
It was also mentioned in the statement that the decision of the Presidential Council to reduce the salaries of certain institutions in the country by 20% will come into effect from April this year.
