Libya, Indonesia seek closer cooperation in the cultural field.

The head of the General Authority for Culture, Hassan Onis, received Tuesday, at the HQ of the Book and Publishing House in Tripoli, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy, Mohammad Amar Ma’ruf, and his delegation, where they discussed enhancing Libyan-Indonesian ties in the cultural and artistic fields.

Onis stressed their readiness to cooperate with the embassy to hold cultural days and implement cultural exchange programs and other activities, as a channel for rapprochement between the two nations.

In this context, the General Authority for Culture has agreed to print a booklet about “Libyan-Indonesian Cultural Products”. Onis also accepted an invitation to participate in a cultural ceremony at the Indonesian embassy scheduled ​​to be held on February 27.

For his part, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy has expressed his country’s pride in its relationship with Libya, noting they are looking forward to furthering ties in this regard.

He also invited his host to attend the cultural season in Indonesia, saying it would be an opportunity for broader discussions between the two countries in this field.
