A meeting was held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli, to review the annual activity of Benghazi Institute of Petroleum Technology for the year 2019, headed by NOC Chairman.
The proposed work and budget plans for the year 2020, in addition to the most important work and projects that were completed during the year 2019 and some of the challenges faced during the previous period were discussed.
NOC Chairman and members of the Board of Directors praised the exceptional efforts made by the Chairman and members of Benghazi Institute of Petroleum Technology team, and the Chairman emphasized that NOC seeks through this ambitious project to train technical personnel and qualify them in important specialties, in order to keep pace with the ambitious plans of NOC which mainly aims to increase production capacity and achieve development in the areas surrounding oil fields and ports.
Director General of Human Resources Development stressed that the curricula followed by the institute in all its affiliated institutes, whether in Zawia or in Tripoli are internationally accredited curricula and include the most important scientific subjects taught in other similar international institutes, which are available for the Unification of Curricula.
NOC Chairman and members of the Board of Directors indicated the need to respect the institute’s absorptive capacity, adhere to the standards and criteria for the annual and technical needs of the sector, and focus on scientific disciplines not present in other institutes, including modern technology, stressing the importance of benefiting from twinning with global institutes.
For his part, the head of Benghazi Institute for Petroleum Technology thanked NOC for its continuous support to the institute.
