The annual meeting of Harouge Oil Operations Company for the year 2019 was held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli, headed by NOC Chairman.
The activities of the various departments of the company during the year 2019, the proposed work and budget programs for the year 2020, implementation of development programs and approved projects in a timely manner, to contribute to raising production rates in the company were discussed. The first stages of restarting Al-Ghani field, maintenance of Al-Naqa field, development of Amal field, replacement of pumping lines No. 36-30, maintenance of the shipping berth, installation of water injection stations for Amal field, development of wells drilling, and placing them on production as soon as possible were discussed.
The comments of the owners’ committee and the monitoring committee were also heard.
NOC Chairman pointed clearly that the company has the capabilities to achieve the ambitious goals and plans of NOC to increase production rates, and that these capabilities must be invested optimally, by providing the company with a visual presentation of its projects, and its direction to implement important projects by applying Fast track programs which will save time being one of the most important factors for achieving the desired results of early production and achieving a quick additional income for the country.
NOC Chairman and members of the Board of Directors also praised the prominent role of the Chairman and members of the company’s management committee and all its employees, in reaching its goals to increase production rates, despite the challenges and difficult security conditions surrounding its areas of operations, explaining that the accomplishments the company achieved were professional. They also valued continuity of operations to advance the national economy. They also thanked and appreciated the fruitful and effective efforts that were made with all diligence and perseverance, especially in restarting Al Ghany field after being subjected to sabotage and destruction which led to the loss of about 40 thousand barrels per day.

NOC Chairman and members of the Board of Directors also briefed the details of the stages taken by the company in restarting Al-Ghani field and some of the damaged fields, maintenance of wells in Al-Naqa and Amal fields, and maintenance of damaged tanks in the company’s operations areas of fields and ports.
NOC Chairman stressed the importance that NOC attaches to environment, security and safety programs, and also recommended the need to localize reservoir studies, and give priority to electrical energy projects, maintenance and development, with the need to pay attention to the young national elements of the company in their training and rehabilitation in the sector, and improve services for all employees by providing comfort, entertainment and subsistence, and creating the appropriate environment so that they can fully carry out their duties.
