The annual meeting of the Specific Center for Training in Petroleum Industries in Zawia for the year 2019 was held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli, headed by NOC Chairman.
The center’s activities during the year 2019, the proposed work and budget programs for the year 2020 were reviewed. Some of the problems that the center was exposed to during the last period and how to address them were also discussed.
NOC Chairman and members of the Board of Directors stressed the important role that the Center plays in the advancement of the Libyan oil sector, despite the challenges facing the country, and NOC keenness and its companies to invest in the human element to develop the oil institutes and affiliated centers for preparing skilled scientific, technical and national cadres in order to achieve the desired goals, leadership and excellence at all levels, and to meet the needs of the sector of workers.
NOC Chairman also asked the center’s management committee to focus on field visits for students, conducting short training courses in the oil fields, adhere to safety standards and provide distinguished services, entertainment and comfort for students of the center and its employees.
Chairman of the Specific Center Management Committee praised the strong support and great attention that NOC attaches to the Center’s management committee, students, faculty members and employees of the Specific Center for Training in Petroleum Industries, and its constant and continuous keenness to develop modern scientific approaches and the acquisition of advanced industrial tools necessary for training, and to benefit from global experiences in the field of training and education in Britain and Canada for their excellence in this field, which was reflected in the improvement of the performance of the center during the years 2018 and 2019.
