The head of the Russian contact group on intra-Libyan settlement, Lev Dengov disclosed Monday that export of Russian wheat to Libya will start next year with a volume of one million tons annually.
Degnov told Sputnik that a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Government of National Accord in this regard with the participation of the three largest Russian state companies, confirming that details of the contract are currently being worked out.
Talks touched on price and other technical issues in preparation for the signing of the contract by the start of the new year, where imports of Russian wheat are expected to arrive in Libya next year, according to the Russian official.
