The Presidential Council (PC) has appointed council member, Mohammed Ammari Zayed, as acting Minister of Education.
The letter of appointment stipulates that Ammari Zayed is to run the ministry until completing procedures for separating the education ministry from higher education.
The former education ministry, Othman Abdul Jalil resigned last week in protest against the PC’s decision to separate the ministry of education from higher education.
