In partnership with Assaray Trade and Investment Bank (ATIB), the French Expert Agency launched the first microfinance bank in Libya, under the term “Nama”, funded by the Conflict, Stability, and Security Fund of the British Government, with a value of two million euros.
Nama’s branches in Tripoli and Benghazi will provide microfinance to entrepreneurs in Libya by supporting them in setting up their businesses as well as providing a range of non-financial services to beneficiaries, such as business development or administrative support.
The project grants loans ranging from five thousand to twenty-five thousand dinars, with interest-free repayment periods that extend to two years.
