Production in Libya is stable and has not been affected by the events in the country
Italy’s main oil exporter, ENI, stated that production in Libya is stable and was not affected by the events in the country and expressed concern about the security situation in Libya as the security events may affect the company’s medium-term activities in Libya.
The Italian ambassador to Libya met earlier this year NOC Chairman and called for joint cooperation in the field of energy and the most prominent projects linking the two countries’ natural gas line in the sea between Mellitah Company to South Italy, which feeds Italy’s needs for 15 percent of its daily consumption.
It is noteworthy that the Italian company, Eni supervised the operation of a number of projects, notably Mellitah Oil & Gas, Bahr Alsalam field and some other projects.
