The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) confirmed the connecting of the fourth unit of Ubari Gas Station to the public grid, officially.

“The fourth unit was operated by crude oil. This will ensure the stability of the network, after guaranteeing the constant supply of fuel to the station,” the GECOL Information Department stated Saturday.

The company added that the operational tests in the third unit are in the final stages of completion, noting that this would enable the plant to generate a further 250 MW, which in turn, will contribute to stabilizing power supplies to the southern region, and the national grid in general.
