NOC chairman urges parties to spare the oil sector the conflict

Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah, emphasized the neutrality of the oil sector and the NOC, as a technical and economic institution, stressing the need to spare the institution all political and military conflicts.

Sanallah said during his meeting with operating companies in the oil sector Monday that the continuation of the production processes is vital for the future of Libya and its economy, according to the NOC website.

Oil supplies have not been affected by the recent clashes in Tripoli, which erupted on Thursday.
