Management at Ragubah field annonuced that the gas plant on the premisis has returnsed to work after a 4 year suspension.

The field controller Mohamed Amreedh said that the re-operation of the plant came to ensure its readiness, analyze and identify if there were any technical problems with the GT-1203 gas turbine.

He noted that the results were successful, stressing that the continuity of operation of the plant is dependent on ensuring the stability of electricity supply.

The operation of the plant is expected to contribute to raising the rates of production for crude oil, condensate and reduce the rates of gas burned.

The oil field is located in southwestern Libya, with 107 wells.

It is noteworthy that the first exploratory well in this field was dug in January 1961 and went into production in 1963.
