Minister of Education, Othman Abdul Jalil discussed with Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Grimaldi means to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two countries in the field of education.
The meeting, which was held at the ministry’s HQ in Tripoli, on Thursday, addressed the possibility of including the Italian language in the school curriculum as an optional language, as well as training staff members of the Italian language department in the Libyan universities and providing books and educational materials.
The two sides also considered ways to activate the friendship agreement between the two countries in the field of scholarships for Libyan students and facilitate their procedures.
