GPC Decision No. (290) for 2010 deciding some legislations concerning exercising the activities of inspection, handling, loading and discharging of shipments of crude oil, petroleum products and petro chemicals in the petroleum ports.        

Article (1)
Exercising inspection activity of shipments on tankers of crude oil, petroleum products and petro chemicals as well as activity of handling, loading and discharging in petroleum ports will be merely through the tools for exercising the national economic activity which are licensed and which obtained permission issued from the concerned authorities to work in this field without others; this will be through national inspectors and citizens.
The international agreements in which Libya is a party and which are approved according the prevailing regulations will be considered.

Article (2)
The tools for exercising the national economic activity are prohibited from entry in partnerships with the tools for exercising the foreign economic activity in practicing the activities stipulated in the previous article whether directly or indirectly.
Without prejudice with any severe penalty stipulated in the prevailing regulations, the license and permission for exercising the national economic activity which proved its violation to the legislations of this decision will be cancelled.

Article (3)
The existing and signed contracts before issuance of this decision and which apply its legislations will continue until the end of its period; and in case the period is not renewed, it will end with the end of the present year 2010.

Article (4)
This decision will be applied from date of issue and to be executed by concerned authorities.
