Libyan Minister of Education agreed with his Egyptian counterpart to return the scholarship programs offered by Arab Republic of Egypt to the Libyan graduates, delegates and students at their own expense.
The two sides agreed to use the expertise of Egyptian professors in strategic planning for development of scientific curricula and postgraduate programs in the Libyan state and in specific specializations that serve Libya’s modern development policy during the visit of the Libyan Minister to Cairo to discuss the joint academic supervision on the researches of postgraduate degrees, approvals and administrative procedures necessary, establishment of mechanisms to follow up the delegates of Libyan students, postponing payment of tuition fees and the possibility of reducing these fees to the number of students in postgraduate studies in five Egyptian universities.
The Libyan minister and his Egyptian counterpart stressed the importance of using Egyptian professors to develop graduate programs in clinical medical sciences at Libyan universities and to re-participate in the oral examination in the faculties of medicine as well as to participate in teaching the various basic and clinical courses.
