The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanallah met Sunday with the UNSMIL’s Head Ghassan Salame in Tripoli.
UNSMIL said on Twitter that Salame was briefed about the challenges affecting oil production in the country, including the security of the NOC and of the oil fields.
Meanwhile, force majeure has been declared since Friday by the NOC at Al-Feel oilfield that is being operated by Mellitah Oil company after it had withdrawn all the workers after protests over pay delays by the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG).
