The GNA Government held its first ordinary meeting Wednesday, headed by President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al sarraj. The meeting was attended by deputy of the President of the Presidency Council, Ahmed Amitiq and members of the Presidency Council, Ahmed Hamza and Mohamed Ammari and GNA ministers.
The Council of Ministers discussed its agenda covering several issues submitted by various sectors and took many decisions accordingly.
The Council approved an advance to Administration Centres Development to finalize maintenance work at Misrata Central Hospital, Tripoli University buildings, Amel Centre for the Deaf based on proposals submitted by Ministry of Finance.
The Council also approved a proposal by Ministry of labour considering 57 deceased people martyrs of duty based on Law NO 12/1991. President of the Presidency Council reviewed economic and political developments undergone by the country, and his contacts with several MPs from House of Representatives and High State Council
and mayors in this respect.
The meeting also touched on the displaced people of Taurgha and the reasons that prevented their return planned for early this month, stressing the need to communicate with various relevant parties to address the issue as soon as possible. Al sarraj also addressed the issue of Derna and military mobilization there, stressing the stance of the Presidency Council opposing military escalations with unknown consequences and difficult humanitarian situation it could produce. On economic situation, Al sarraj said the Presidency Council is following up the state of the exchange of the Libyan Dinar against other foreign currencies and making all takes for the stability of the national currency.
Al Sarraj stressed the need to coornaidet with the Ministry of Planning when expanding and establishing Higher Education Institutions and other utilities.
