President of the Presidential Council of the National Government of Accord met the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Libya accompanied by the Political Advisor at the Embassy and the Military Advisor and discussed the political and security situation in Libya and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The German ambassador praised the president’s efforts to achieve consensus between the parties in the political scene in Libya and wise handling of the recent security breaches and expressed Germany’s readiness to provide the necessary support for the success of the electoral process to be held this year and expressed the desire of members of the German Parliament to visit Libya as Germany desire to develop the relations of cooperation between the two countries. He pointed that the German Embassy began the procedures for work from Tripoli this year.
The President welcomed the German Ambassador and noted his efforts to develop relations between the two friendly countries and stressed that the security situation was addressed and said that the government provided the needs of the Electoral Commission to perform its work in the best way.
