A shipment of cash arrived at the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) branch of Sabha from the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) in Tripoli on Tuesday. The cargo arrived by air to the Tammhant International Airport.The shipment is estimated at 45 million LYD. The shipment was received by the director and staff of the Sabha Center and will be distributed on the southern banks in the coming days.
The southern region suffers from a shortage of cash in its commercial banks, as well as difficult to deliver cash if available due to the shut down of most of the southern airports over the past period.
