The ship “Federal” arrived at Tobruk port loaded with about 27 thousand tons bulk wheat coming from Caucasus in Russia.
Director General of the Port of Tobruk stated that the ship berthed at the naval base berth to unload cargo and an integrated security plan was set by the security director of the port to combat smuggling and corruption of all kinds within the port.
In October 2017, the General Command decided to close the port of Tobruk for financial corruption of some companies supplying state-subsidized goods and was reopened at the end of December by a decision of the Chairman of the General Authority for Transport in the Interim Government.
