Ministry of Economy meets drivers of oil tankers to address fuel crisis in southern Libya.

Al Bariqa oil and Gas Marketing Company said talks underway to reach an urgent solution to the fuel crisis in southern Libya, after talks between Ministry of Economy and
group of drivers affiliated to transport union to address fuel crisis in Southern Libya.

On its website Wednesday the company said a group of drivers organized a protest against the deteriorating security situation on public roads exposing them to robbery and demanding higher pay due to high operation and maintenance cost.

Al Bariqa oil and Gas Marketing Company stressed that the task of transport of fuel is the sole responsibility of distribution and marketing companies such as Al Rahila, Al Shara Al Dhahabya, Libya Oil and Tariq Al Sarria, it added.
